Design for use and water
A driveway scope should account for vehicle type and turning, dimensions, approach and street
connection, slope, drainage, subgrade, existing concrete removal, utilities, joints, reinforcement, edges,
adjacent structures, and access during the work. Public right-of-way or curb work may involve separate
permissions.
What to share
Provide the property location and type, intended vehicles, approximate dimensions, photos, current
surface, cracking or settlement history, drainage concerns, street and curb condition, gates, utilities, trees, access limits, and survey information when available.
Can new concrete go over an existing driveway?
That depends on the current slab, elevations, drainage, base, transitions, clearances, and proposed
loads. Covering failed concrete can preserve the conditions that caused the problem.
Send the driveway dimensions, vehicle use, current condition, drainage, and access details.
