Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. When you request a quote, fill out a contact form, call, or email us, we may collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
- Property address and details about your project (type of work, scope, budget, timeline, photos or plans you share)
- Any other information you choose to include in your messages
- If you become a client: contract, billing, and payment information needed to complete your project
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages viewed, time spent on pages, referring website, and approximate location (city/region)
- Information collected through cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookies Policy
Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from referral partners, lead-generation or review platforms, and social media platforms when you interact with our pages.
If you submit one of our inquiry forms on Facebook or Instagram, we receive the contact details and project information you provide, including your name, email address, phone number, property ZIP code and roofing project description. We also receive a lead identifier and source-form information, and campaign or ad identifiers when available. We use Zoho services to receive and manage inquiries and follow up about your project. Meta also handles information submitted on its platforms under its own privacy policy.
Our Website also records information about how you reached us, such as campaign information in links, and whether an inquiry form was successfully submitted. We use this information to understand which parts of our marketing generate inquiries.
How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your inquiries and prepare estimates and quotes
- Schedule site visits, plan, and complete your project
- Communicate with you about your project, including updates, invoices, and warranty matters
- Send you information about our services, if you have agreed to receive it (you can opt out at any time)

How We Share Your Information
We share personal information with the following categories of recipients:
Business service providers: companies that help us operate our Website and manage inquiries and business records, including hosting, customer relationship management and workflow services such as Zoho, as well as email, scheduling, payment processing and accounting providers.Google Maps address assistance: If you choose “Find address with Google” on an inquiry form, Google receives the address text you enter in that search box and technical information such as your IP address to provide suggestions. Google processes this information under its Privacy Policy. Choosing a suggestion fills editable address fields. First Colonial receives the address you submit and uses it to review your inquiry and plan the requested work. You may enter the address manually without using Google suggestions.Google reCAPTCHA spam protection: We use Google reCAPTCHA on our inquiry forms to help detect automated activity and prevent spam and abuse. For this security purpose, technical information and interaction signals, such as your IP address, browser and device information, and interactions with the form, are processed by Google on our behalf. reCAPTCHA may use security cookies. Analytics and advertising providers: Google receives Website usage information through Google Analytics. Meta receives information through Meta Pixel and the Conversions API for matching, measurement and advertising. These providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies, including purposes described in the tracking section below.Subcontractors and suppliers who need your name, property address, and project details to carry out work on your project.Permitting authorities, inspectors, and utilities when required to obtain permits or complete your project.Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of others.Business transfers, if First Colonial is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.With your consent, for any other purpose you approve.
Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Website, understand visitor activity and measure our marketing. The Privacy Choices control on our Website lets you accept or reject optional Analytics cookies and Advertising & contact matching. Both optional categories are off until you choose them. You can send an inquiry and receive project service without accepting optional tracking. Necessary security and preference cookies remain enabled.
Google Analytics 4 measures Website activity, such as visits, pages viewed, traffic sources and successful inquiry submissions. If you allow Analytics cookies, Google can use cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. When cookies are declined, Google may still receive limited cookieless signals for measurement and modeling. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
If you allow both Analytics cookies and Advertising & contact matching, we also send Google a SHA-256-hashed version of the email address you submit with a successful Website inquiry. Google can match this information with other information it holds to improve conversion measurement, associate visits across sessions and devices, and support audience matching through our linked Google Analytics and Google Ads accounts. We use eligible Website activity to build remarketing audiences for relevant advertising. We do not include your name, phone number, project address or project message in our Google enhanced-conversion matching data. Hashing makes an email unreadable in transit for this matching process; it does not make the information anonymous.
If you allow Advertising & contact matching, Meta Pixel reports Website page visits and successful inquiry submissions in the browser, and Meta's Conversions API reports successful Website inquiries from our server. For server-side matching, we send a hashed version of the submitted email address, together with event information, browser information, an IP address when available, and Meta browser or click identifiers when present. Our custom Website Conversions API integration does not include your name, phone number, project address or project message in its event payload. Meta may combine event information with other information it holds for matching, measurement, and targeting, delivering and personalizing ads. See Meta's Privacy Policy. Browser and server reports of the same inquiry share an event identifier to help prevent double counting.
When your browser sends a recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we disable Website advertising cookies, advertising contact matching and personalized advertising for that browser, including Meta Pixel and Website Conversions API collection. Google restricted data processing and denied advertising-consent signals apply to that browser. Analytics cookie choices are separate; limited cookieless Google measurement may continue. GPC does not prevent us from receiving or responding to an inquiry.
Open Privacy Choices at any time to change your settings. We remember the choice for 180 days on that browser. A refusal or withdrawal stops future advertising collection through this Website's controls; it does not recall information already received by a provider, and an already queued or in-flight server event may finish. These Website choices do not govern inquiries submitted directly on Facebook or Instagram. Use the choices on each browser or device where you want them to apply.
You can also use browser tracking controls, Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on where supported, Google's advertising choices and Meta's account advertising choices. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. We generally retain inquiries and quotes that do not become client projects for up to three years after our last meaningful project-related contact, unless a continuing business need or legal obligation requires longer retention.
Information that becomes part of a client project record may be retained longer to perform our contracts, support warranties, maintain tax and accounting records, meet legal requirements, and establish or defend legal claims. Retention depends on the type of record, the project, applicable obligations and any outstanding dispute or legal hold.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or deidentify it as appropriate. We may retain limited records of privacy requests and opt-outs to document our response and continue honoring your choices. These records are used for those purposes rather than to resume marketing.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our Website. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a portable copy of your personal information, or opt out of targeted advertising, certain sales of personal data or certain significant profiling. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.

We may reasonably verify your identity or an agent's authority before providing information or acting on a request. You do not need to create an account.
We respond without undue delay and within 45 days. When reasonably necessary, we may extend this once by 45 days and explain why within the initial period. If we decline a request, we explain the reason and how to appeal. Information responses are free at least twice annually, subject to applicable exceptions.
You can appeal by replying to our decision or using the same email or phone number. We provide a written appeal decision within 60 days. If denied, we provide the Texas Attorney General privacy complaint link.

Children’s Privacy
Our Website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
