Cookies Policy

Introduction

Effective date: October 19, 2026

This Cookies Policy explains how First Colonial Construction (“First Colonial,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on firstcolonialconstruction.com (the “Website”), why we use them and the choices available to you. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. They can help a website recognize visits, keep features working and measure activity. Session cookies expire when a browser session ends; persistent cookies remain until they expire or are deleted. Similar technologies include pixels, browser storage and identifiers associated with events. Server-side reporting can send an event without relying on a new browser cookie.

How we use these technologies

  • Website operation and security: to support Website features and administration where needed.

Spam protection: Google reCAPTCHA may set security cookies on pages containing our inquiry forms to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated activity and prevent spam and abuse. Google processes the related security data on our behalf. These cookies serve form security, rather than FCC’s advertising or analytics purposes. If a form cannot be submitted, contact us at (713) 597-3393 or info@firstcolonialconstruction.com.

  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 helps us understand visits, pages viewed, traffic sources and successful inquiry submissions. Analytics cookies can distinguish browsers and sessions.
  • Advertising and contact matching: Where your choices allow, Google and Meta use Website events, cookies and identifiers for advertising measurement, remarketing audiences and personalized ads. Successful inquiry emails can be shared in hashed form for matching as described below. Meta Pixel reports Website visits and inquiries, and Meta’s Conversions API reports inquiries from our server.

The Website provides Privacy Choices with Accept optional, Reject optional and Save choices controls. Optional Analytics cookies and Advertising & contact matching start off until selected. Necessary security cookies and cookies remembering your choices remain enabled. Declining optional cookies does not prevent inquiry submission. Google may still receive limited cookieless signals for measurement and modeling when optional storage is denied.

Google Analytics and Google Ads

Google Analytics 4 measures visits, pages viewed, traffic sources and successful inquiries. With Analytics cookie permission, cookies such as _ga and cookies beginning _ga_ can distinguish browsers and sessions. Advertising cookies, such as _gcl_au, and advertising identifiers can support Google Ads measurement and remarketing when Advertising & contact matching is allowed. If you allow both optional categories, FCC sends Google a SHA-256-hashed version of the email submitted with a successful inquiry for enhanced conversion measurement and audience matching through FCC’s linked Analytics and Ads accounts. This matching data excludes your name, phone number, project address and project message. Hashes are not anonymous. See Google’s Privacy Policy, information from partner sites, and Google’s advertising choices.

Meta Pixel and Conversions API

Meta browser tracking and new Website server-side inquiry collection require your Advertising & contact matching permission and are suppressed when a recognized GPC signal or Website opt-out is present. Meta Pixel operates in the browser. Meta identifiers such as _fbp and _fbc may be used when present. Our server-side inquiry event includes event information, a hashed email address, browser information, an IP address when available and existing Meta browser/click identifiers when present. The custom server-side event payload does not include the submitted name, phone number or project message. Hashed information can still be matched to a person and is not anonymous.

Browser and server reports of the same inquiry share an event identifier to help prevent double counting. Read Meta’s Privacy Policy for its information practices and available account choices.

Your choices

On-site choices: Open Privacy Choices to accept, reject or change optional Analytics cookies and Advertising & contact matching. We remember your choice for 180 days on this browser and ask again after it expires. When you withdraw permission, we update tracking controls and remove accessible optional tracking cookies. Changes govern future collection; accepted events cannot be recalled, and already queued or in-flight server events may finish. Apply your choices separately on other browsers or devices. Necessary security and preference cookies continue to work.

Global Privacy Control: A recognized GPC signal disables Website advertising cookies, contact matching and personalized advertising for that browser, including Meta Pixel and new Website Conversions API collection. We send Google denied advertising-consent signals and apply restricted data processing for that browser. Analytics cookie choices remain separate; limited cookieless Google measurement and normal inquiry handling can continue. GPC takes precedence over advertising acceptance. This control does not govern forms submitted directly on Facebook or Instagram or recall previously sent information.

Browser controls: your browser can block or delete cookies and may provide tracking protection. See its help documentation for instructions. Blocking cookies alone may not prevent server-side conversion reporting, and clearing cookies does not withdraw information already received by a provider.

Google Analytics: Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on offers a browser-based choice for supported browsers when installed and functioning. It does not stop every other type of Website data collection.

Advertising choices: Review Google’s advertising choices, Meta’s account advertising/privacy settings and the Digital Advertising Alliance’s choices. Provider and industry choices have their own scope and may depend on your browser, device, account or participating company; they do not disable every tracking technology on this Website.

Contact us: email info@firstcolonialconstruction.com or call (713) 597-3393 to request an opt-out or ask about your information. Requests are handled by our team; contacting us does not automatically set a browser preference. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your information, or opt out of certain processing. See our Privacy Policy for request and appeal details.

When you follow a link to Facebook, LinkedIn or another external service, that service’s privacy and cookie policies apply. This policy does not promise to control those services’ cookies or account settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our technologies or practices change. We will update the effective date when we publish a revision.
